Shortcross storms Gin Masters 2019

Shortcross storms Gin Masters 2019

Shortcross Gin celebrates two more wins, adding yet more strings to the Rademon Estate Distillers bow and reaffirming their title as the most awarded gin in Ireland.

Shortcross stormed the Ultra-Premium 2019 category by picking up two Gin Masters for their Shortcross Gin and Bartender Series One Edition. The only Gin to pick up two masters in the coveted  competition.

With more than 300 expressions entered into this year’s Gin Masters, from around the globe, competition was tough. With 30 shortlisted competitors within their category Shortcross Gin received 2 out of the 5 gin masters awarded. No easy feat!

Here’s what the judges had to say about our Shortcross Gin…

“Smoothness in abundance! Great mix of sweet and saline. On the nose; orange/blood orange and juniper dominant, a great mix!”

Shortcross Bartender Series One was also celebrated for it’s

“….prominent juniper nose”

Judges added that it was a great quality alcohol, with great balance, herbal spice and a lovely classic nose.

Bartender Series One Gin takes its 5th award in just two short years (first introduced in 2017) reaffirming the decision to welcome this limited edition release to the Shortcross core product range. Rademon Estate Distillery now have 4 Shortcross Gin’s in their inventory; Classic, Bartender Series One, Cask Finish and Rosie’s Garden Gin. Shop the collection here.

The Gin Masters aren’t the only accolade awarded to Shortcross Gin in 2019, earlier this year the Shortcross Gin and Shortcross Bartender Series One expression scooped up Silver Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition along with a celebration at the Northern Ireland Food and Drink Awards. When Team Shortcross aren’t out celebrating the success of their gin they are celebrating their 5th anniversary! And what an anniversary it has been!

With another 6 months left to go the Team are really looking forward to see what the rest of 2019 holds.
