The Forest Sprite

Ingredients

  • 35ml Classic Shortcross Gin
  • 15ml Lemon
  • 15ml Pine Syrup***
  • Classic tonic water
  • Garnish With Orange twist Pine Sprig

Method

  • Fill a tall glass with plenty of ice and 35ml of Shortcross Classic gin,
  • add in your lemon juice and pine syrup giving a good mix with a bar spoon
  • Top off with any good quality tonic water
  • Run your orange twist skin side around the rim of the glass and drop in with a sprig of pine for a crisp and fresh sip from Shortcross
  • ***Pine Syrup – dissolve 300g of caster sugar in 150ml of water over a medium heat, slap 5/6 sprigs of pine between your palms before adding to the pan and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to infuse the flavours – allow to cool and sieve into bottles to store in fridge.
